Which Ages Can Play and What are the Teams?
MYSA offers teams from T-ball on up through Babe Ruth Baseball. Boys and girls play together until about 3rd grade and then split into their respective softball or baseball teams. Click here for more detailed information about each team and which age groups they are for.
When Are Practices and Games Held?
Practice schedules vary by team. After registration has closed, coaches meet to establish teams and then work together to determine a practice schedule that is then recorded on this website in the Schedule Tab at the top of the page. We utilize Lindsay Park for some of our older teams and both of the fields across from the Manawa Elementary School for our younger teams. With as many as many as a dozen teams needing to schedule practices we work to design a schedule that works for all coaches (they are volunteers and have job responsibilities to work around) and families.
Game schedules are developed by all of the coaches in the league for baseball and softball. Once each town closes registration, the league meets to develop a league schedule based on when each town’s fields are available and their team is available. Coaches will communicate those schedules to players and they will also be listed in the Schedule Tab on this page. Coach pitch and t-ball games take place at Lindsay Park on Sunday afternoons beginning in June and running through mid-July.

Is MYSA affiliated with the School District of Manawa?
Manawa Youth Sports Association has a fantastic relationship with the School District of Manawa, but we are not a school-sponsored activity. Manawa Youth Sports Association is a separate, non-profit organization of community volunteers coming together to offer summer baseball and softball opportunities to the youth of our community.
What Sponsorship Opportunities Are There for Businesses?
Manawa Youth Sports is very appreciative of the past and present support from Manawa-Area Businesses. As a non-profit, parent-run organization, community support is essential to the continuation and growth of our program. What is the MYSA Uniform Policy?
You cannot change the appearance of your T-Shirt or Jersey in any way. You may not cut out the arms or sides of the T-shirt. We have sponsors that provide these shirts and they wish to be recognized. We want to look like a team. We are not responsible for shirts ordered in the wrong size. If you order the wrong size you are responsible for reordering a corrected size. We will require that your team shirt is worn at all games and all other rules for the team uniform are followed as listed on this page.
